I didn’t think it was possible for anyone to have a voice more annoying than Miley Cyrus, then along came Rebecca Black.  The new “internet sensation”, the girl being called the next Justin Bieber (god, what an insult to poor JB).  I unfortunately heard Rebecca for the first time about a week ago.  Now let me just say something really quickly, I’m a lyric person.  I like when song lyrics are creative and intriguing.  So when the first lines I hear of Rebecca Black’s “Friday” were “Seven a.m., waking up in the morning Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal” I immediately regretted my decision to watch this video.   But it was like a car crash, I just couldn’t look away and had to hear the rest (I’m thinking this is how it became so popular, people enjoy viewing tragedies, and this song my friends is tragic).  So now the song goes on and she’s outside looking at her friends in the car.  Just like nails on a chalkboard she screeches out “Kickin’ in the front seat Sittin’ in the back seat Gotta make my mind up Which seat can I take?” Wow, really? What a tough life you lead Rebecca Black when the hardest thing you have to decide is where to sit in the car! Just when I think it can’t get any worse she starts singing “Friday, Friday, Fridayyyyyyyy” Please someone make her stop! I’ll listen to Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA” on repeat for the rest of my life if she just stops saying Friday like that! Okay now for my favorite part of this awful mess were calling music.  “Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday Today i-is Friday, Friday  We-we-we so excited We so excited We gonna have a ball today Tomorrow is Saturday And Sunday comes after … wards” YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. No shit yesterday was Thursday and no shit tomorrow is Sunday! I’m ready to turn it off by this point but in comes the “rapper” who has about a 1% resemblance to Usher which probably makes him think hes awesome which couldn’t be any less true. Take those diamonds out of your ears thug, we are not impressed.  The rest of the song is Rebecca repeating “Friday”, “Fun”, and “Weekend” over and over again.  Now don’t even get me started on the music video, that could be another blog post in itself.  All I know after watching this is that life is completely unfair because there is no way that video should be blowing up the way that it is.  But then again here I am blogging about its awfulness which even though I’m not promoting it, you know what they say, no press is bad press.  Hell, at this point I’m about to make a video about “Summer”. You know, before summer is spring, spring, spring, after summer is fall, fall, fall, ..blah blah. I think you get the point. #SMH
